When I am not working with the 30 crazies Mon-Friday my heart is with other less fortunate but just as beautiful if not more beautiful and kind hearted kiddies around Bangkok. God has his hand throughout Thailand in so many different ways and I love seeing him in action everywhere. I am always reminded of the song that was originated in Bangkok Thailand by Bluetree in the Redlight district(where sex trade is most common here). I have been able to see churches open up their facilities(which are not full of material and flashy, showy performances like in America may I add) to teach English to children that can not afford it. This is important because bangkok especially is very Westernized and learning English is very important to families.
An orphanage in particular that I have seen Gods mighty hand in. The group is very tight and full of love for one another. It is a Christian orphanage that teaches the children of Gods love for them and the meaning of God being our father and his adoption process with each and every child. These children teach me so many things by just loving one another and being each others brothers and sisters and family.
Working in the slums is very humbling. Words can not express a sight such as this. Seeing children playing in the trash and running around barefoot, babies without diapers and clothes that do not fit. The words that come to mind are humbling, blessed, thankful. Mostly I want to collect them all and give them everything I own.
I can not WAIT to see God rock this country! and show them his unconditional love for them.
